Wordpress apparently for Android for blogging on the road. Still can’t really get used to the onscreen keyboard.

After the previous post I’ve been trying a lot of themes. It would seem that a fair amount of themes no longer work straight out of the box with Wordpress 3.0. I’m also finding it extremely difficult to find a suitable theme for this main site. So far I’ve been impressed with some of the showcases of the Swift theme but after installing it on this site it really looks rather plain and, well, boring. I’ve bumped into a similar issue another 3.0 beta user experienced and am now wondering if this issue is partially responsible for Swift looking somewhat unfinished.

Magazine Style

I’m considering making this main site some sort of ‘magazine style’ blog and diverting different topics to different sub sites that will all be managed as a Wordpress MU site. This offers some great benefits for maintainability. I will also try to figure out how hard it is to port the 3DN Technology Blog to a sub site.

I believe the initial scope of the 3DN Technology Blog may have been a bit too narrow, even though ‘technology’ is a very broad subject. People read blogs (I think) to get fairly up-to-date information on a particular subject, any subject. The 3DN Technology Blog lacked some focus.
